O mother, in this forest all the birds have risen onto the beautiful branches of the trees to see Kṛṣṇa. With closed eyes they are simply listening in silence to the sweet vibrations of His flute, and they are not attracted by any other sound. Surely these birds are on the same level as great sages.

अरी सखी! गौएँ और बछड़े तो हमारी घरकी वस्तु हैं। उनकी बात तो जाने ही दो। वृन्दावनके पक्षियोंको तुम नहीं देखती हो! उन्हें पक्षी कहना ही भूल है! सच पूछो तो उनमेंसे अधिकांश बड़े-बड़े ऋषि-मुनि हैं। वे वृन्दावनके सुन्दर-सुन्दर वृक्षोंकी नयी और मनोहर कोंपलोंवाली डालियोंपर चुपचाप बैठ जाते हैं और आँखें बंद नहीं करते, निर्निमेष नयनोंसे श्रीकृष्णकी रूप-माधुरी तथा प्यार-भरी चितवन देख-देखकर निहाल होते रहते हैं, तथा कानोंसे अन्य सब प्रकारके शब्दोंको छोड़कर केवल उन्हींकी मोहनी वाणी और वंशीका त्रिभुवनमोहन संगीत सुनते रहते हैं। मेरी प्यारी सखी! उनका जीवन कितना धन्य है!॥ १४॥
